I was in class when I first felt faint. I began to retrace my day and thought that the issue was that I just hadnt eaten enough. It was on a Thursday and that’s the day I had back-to-back classes. Slowly I got up, thinking I’ll pop over to the vending machine in the hallway and then that’s when it happened. I fainted
Right in the middle of my professor’s lecture on Socrates in a theatre of 400 students. I was embaressed of course when I came to, but I knew that this wasn’t a normal reaction to a few hours without sustenance. My doctor had me get some blood work done. When my blood was drawn I was fascinated by the tiny tubes and how telling this small sample would be about my health.
I found out that I was anemic but more importantly, I found out that I wanted to sign up for Phlebotomy Training immediately!
